John and Jenna welcome Savannah and Bryson to Their Family!!

Watch Them Grow and Enjoy Sharing This New Adventure With Us and the Twins!

Bryson Makao Martin and Savannah Abigail Martin were born Sunday, October 12, 2008.

Savannah was born first at 12:45am and Bryson arrived at 1:05am! We are enjoying every moment of crying, pooping, and sleeping. There isn't a day that we don't laugh or stand in awe over the beauty of these two little ones.

Playmat time!!

A picture can only capture so much! I had to put these pictures in sequence of Savannah and Bryson because of all of their animated faces. They're not big fans of tummy time just yet, but we're hoping by next month they'll be doing push-ups! Savannah is a real go-getter and her little brother is so chill. It's a lovely combination! We think he's just letting her do all the foot work and then he'll follow suit.

Feeding, bathing, sleeping and going to the parks!

Imagine feeding 2 at a time. At first it was quite the challenge, but now we both have our techniques down. It's a success when you get them both to burp! The other task each day is bathing the little ones. Keeping Savannah or Bryson occupied and distracted for 20 minutes while the other is bathed is a little tricky! They are given massages after each bath, imagine the life of luxury!

Like father, like son! I captured this cute moment of John and Bryson. I was then returned the favour. Bryson has proven to be our little cuddle buddy. His sister likes her freedom to kick and stretch her little limbs!

Roll Out!

We are adamant about getting the kids out for walks and fresh air. Even though they are usually sleeping, we've had their afternoon feeds at so many beautiful parks. It's probably more relaxing for us to get out of the house too! We've laughed at how tiny the babies are in comparison to the pram...

We sat off by the ocean and filled their little bellies!

Horseshoe Bay with the babies. We went for a nice brisk walk up and down the beach.

The first week with Tisha here in Bermuda!

Bryson at day 1 in the nursery. Holding my bundles of joy!

Fast asleep! Savannah Day 1 also in the nursery.

Tishy and lil' Bryson.

In the beginning...

We started the journey at 3am Saturday. John was just finishing up work at the night club and Tisha was sleeping in our guest room/nursery. I could definitely tell our little girl was ready to get things started, but our chill boy probably could've stayed in forever! About 4:30AM we arrived at the hospital. It was a very calm entry to the maternity ward. I mean, I was walking in like we were going on holiday!

John and I were shown to the room where I'd be waiting until delivery. They hooked me up to monitors and gave me strict orders to not eat anything, except crushed ice. That's not food. In the meantime, Tisha was asked to wait in the waiting room because they have strict rules on how many guests are in the room.

It wasn't until 6pm Saturday night that I was finally feeling contractions that were uncomfortable. The doctor advised me to get the epidural. I thought about it and decided it was worth it. All the while I would fade in and out of sleep and look over to John who was sleeping at times, or eating my favorite food, or reading the paper. I think the longevity of this labour was just preparing his patience, as he was so patient and tending to my needs. Finally, at 11pm Saturday night Dr. Emery gave me positive reinforcement that the end was near. I had since been moved into the twin delivery room and they had also discovered that the epidural machine hadn't been turned on since the initial injection. Between 6pm and 9pm I think was the most horrific time of the entire labour. John and I were overprotective of my new friend "epidural" after I finally calmed down. You can see it in-between us in the picture above!

After it was all said and done, we are blessed with two beautiful children! Done in one go!
